What is Holistic Physiotherapy?
Holistic Physiotherapy is the combination of the benefits of traditional physiotherapy and complementary therapies that enable an individual to heal the imbalances in mind, body & spirit.
What is Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT)?
IMT is gentle tissue manipulation which helps to improve circulation, lymphatic drainage, body tissue integrity and an organ’s health.
What is Craniosacral Therapy (CST)?
Craniosacral therapy is a non-invasive, gentle, applied healing technique that concentrates on a wave-like rhythmic pulse that passes through the whole body. This is a method that emphasizes the role of musculoskeletal system in health & disease.
In this therapy, the physiotherapist makes light contact with gentle finger pressure at selected points near the head, torso, feet and knees to note the observations at selected points and in the craniosacral system (the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord).
The aim of CST is to get rid of limitations in the body to improve the functioning of the central nervous system as this is the root cause of many structural and spinal disparities.
What is Acupuncture?
It is an ancient Chinese healing art and a complementary therapy used to restore the smooth flow of Qi in the meridians (the energy channels) and to ease the pain or treat various health conditions.
Do you bill physiotherapy treatments directly to Insurance Companies?
Central Minds, does not accept direct billing from insurance companies. You would have to pay for your session directly and then have your insurance company reimburse you for the payment. Our therapist is happy to fill out any forms that your insurance company provides you with or provide you with a diagnosis on the paid receipt which can be used to claim from your Insurance company.
Please check with your insurance carrier if a referral letter from a general practitioner/primary doctor is needed for reimbursement.
What should I expect from my first visit?
During your first visit, you will be asked to fill in an Intake form and a Client Service Agreement form where in you agree to our clinic’s payment & cancellation policy & terms.
The physiotherapist will then give you a questionnaire to fill which is an initial assessment that will enable better understanding of your health condition. This will be followed by a physical evaluation, treatment and a plan for future treatment.
How many visits/sessions will I need?
This depends on your physical condition, the severity of your injuries and the diagnosis given. At the end of the first session, our physiotherapist will be able to give you a rough estimate of the duration of your treatment.
